We treat granulomas

Tooth-preserving operations are one of the modern trends in the dental surgery. Their meaning is clear without explanations. Previously, the tooth was removed in any difficult case. Today the dentists from the dental clinic "Denta Vita" do their uttermost to save the tooth. Tooth-preserving operations include such kinds of manipulations as removal of various new growths in bone or soft tissues of the mouth, amputations of root canals, crown and radicular separations, as well as different methods of the periodontal disease treatment.

The root or radicular granulomas are the most common new growths of the oral cavity. To remove a radicular granuloma that can threaten the tooth, the operation with the resection of the apex is sometimes carried out. This allows to remove the neoplasm preserving the tooth.

Before the operation, the tooth canal is carefully sterilized with LASER and filled. After that, the operation on the resection of the apex is carried out. The surgery is performed with local anesthesia and therefore is completely painless. After the detachment of the mucous periosteal shred, an aperture is drilled in the bone at the apex of the tooth. The apex of the root is filed, granuloma tissue is cleaned. The aperture is filled with artificial bone. The mucous periosteal shred is placed back and tightly sutured.

If it is not effective or impossible to treat one of three-root teeth conservatively, the positive result is achieved by the surgical treatment. Not to remove the whole tooth because of the damaged root, the amputation of the root is performed. The dentist cuts it out and turns it into the two-root tooth fully preserving its functional activity. The surgery is performed in the same way.

In cases when caries spoils the two-root tooth hurts in the area of the bifurcation (in the place where the roots disperse), the crown radicular separation is applied. The tooth crown is sawn into two parts. Thus the roots are separated. As a result, the two-root tooth is transformed into two single-root teeth, which allows to open access to the invalid cavity and carry out its treatment.
