The ways of the gum treatment.

Gingivitis is the earliest display of the gum disease. Its early detection and the gum treatment will allow to stop the pathologic process and keep the patient’s teeth. If the patient does not pay attention to initial disease signs, the inflammation proceeds to the deeper periodontal layers and the consequence is periodontitis (paradontosis). The principal reasons for the emergence of the gum disease are bacteria accumulating in the dental plaque and tartar, the gingival pocket formation with pathogenic microorganisms. The toxins of microorganisms both affect the gum tissue and destroy the ligamentous apparatus holding the teeth on the gums surface. If the treatment of gums is not started at this stage, it is possible to lose one or more teeth.

Periodontitis is a disease that results in degenerative changes of tooth tissues. It does not often result in their loss, but increases discomfort during eating, bares the tooth necks. The dentist accomplishes a thorough diagnosis of the teeth and gums, and elaborates an individual scheme of the gum treatment.

The gum treatment is performed at some stages. They include the removal of hard and soft dental overlays with magnetostrictive ultrasonic apparatus Cavitron JET, polishing the tooth surface with powder-spray device Profiflex3 (calcium carbonate), application of the apparatus Vector and even laser (laser scaling). After the tooth brushing, the patient is offered Fluoride baths for strengthening the tooth surface. After these manipulations, the gum gradually comes to its usual position. The complex of therapeutic measures is also very important. It includes anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial therapies and general tonic treatment. We recommend to rinse the mouth with the decoction of herbs, to use of special elixirs and gels during the restoration period.
